Robert and I had a great time in New York City this weekend!
We ate eaten a New York bagel, a "slice of pie", saw Time Square, during the day AND night, Ground Zero, Waldolf Astoria, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Statue of Liberty, rode the subway, went to the Coach, Nike and Louis Vuitton, Empire State Building, McSorley's (the oldest bar in New York) and Little Italy.
What a great (and busy) day in New York City! See pics on our photo page!

God help me...I am going to be a substitute teacher! I decided once my kids were ALL in school, which is this year, due to my baby girl starting kindergarten, I would try out being a substitute, as well as a Realtor. What was I thinking??? ;)
I am actually excited about getting my foot in the door and getting through the first day (and a little nervous!)
I am going to sub at all of the Prosper ISD schools. I have already accepted 2 elementary schools substitute teaching jobs and I am working tomorrow at the new $113.5 million, 590,000-square-foot enormous Prosper High School, complete with a medical tech lab, a restaurant-worthy kitchen, a greenhouse, a broadcast studio and, of course, an indoor football practice facility... nothing but the best for the Prosper kids!

It sounds like a lot of fun and I've always been told I would be good at teaching, and judging by the subs that I had when I was a kid, you don't really seem to have to be that qualified. Matter of a fact, if I do become a flustered, I will just do what my subs did and put in a movie and read the Star Telegram in the back of the room. LOL! Just kidding!! ;)I believe here, in the Prosper ISD, things will be quite different. After all, I have 3 kids in the school system and I know it is a great place to learn!
THIS IS JUST ANOTHER CHAPTER IN MY MY LIFE'S JOURNEY...WISH ME LUCK!!!

I truly believe that if we keep telling the Christmas story, singing the Christmas songs, and living the Christmas spirit, we can bring joy and happiness and peace to this world. - Norman Vincent Peale
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.
- Burton Hillis
"My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?" - Bob Hope
"What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace."
Agnes M. Pharo
Christmas Day is a day of joy and charity. May God make you very rich in both. - Phillips Brooks
Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas. - Calvin Coolidge

I can relate to Marliyn Monroe....with who she was, what she seemed to feel through reading her quotes and who she strived to be....I admired her and wish I had known her. These are some of my favs.....
When it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I?m already better than them.

One Flaw In Women
(you will see what it is in the end)
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
But they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
And laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take 'no' for an answer
When they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
And cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
A birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
Yet they are strong when they
Think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
Can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
To show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have the compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
Family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
And everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH!!!!!

We recently announced that we were moving the family to Prosper, TX and now I have changed my office, to Century 21 Judge Fite in Frisco, TX.
A few weeks ago, we moved the family to Prosper, TX, for many reasons...1) Roberts commute to work at Ericsson in North Plano from Mansfield was taking at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours (hello...gas prices), 2) we have been wanting to move back to "small town" Texas ever since we both left it years ago, and 3) this is where we want to raise our kids; where everything you need in within walking distance, you don't have to lock your doors and eveyone knows your name and looks out for you.
So, after a few weeks of getting boxes emptied, painting rooms, redecorating, getting kids adjusted to a new school, church, and friends, (oh, don't let me forget about the 5 stitches my son got a week after we moved!) I am ready to blog again!
After the move, I started to feel Robert's pain of the commute, believing that I could still manage working out of the Mansfield office, by just going in 2 days a week. OMG, like Reagan would say, the drive is brutal!! (sorry baby, for having to endure that drive for a year! xoxo) So...I changed my office from the Mansfield Century 21 Judge Fite office to the Judge Fite office in Frisco just a few days ago. While I miss my family at the office in Mansfield, I am BEYOND excited about joining the Frisco office.
Although I planted roots in Tarrant County and always considered myself a "Fort Worth" country girl, it only seemed right to give my official new "homeland", in Collin County, the respect it is due share it with the family website and all of my other blogs and profiles (no one can have just one!) After all, even a "Fort Worth" country girl can find peace and happiness being a "Dallas Diva" when there is sooooo much great shopping!!!!!!!
So, when you get a chance, stop on by and say "Hi", visit my office or my home or just meet me for a day out on the town shopping, dining or looking for a new house!!!

WE'RE MOVING TO PROSPER, TX NEXT WEEK AND READY FOR SMALL TOWN LIFE AGAIN!!!!!
Here's a little about our new town...

Located in Collin County, Prosper, Texas began in 1902 with the coming of the railroad and was incorporated in 1914. Farmers grew cotton on the land and because the harvest was especially bountiful, they named the town Prosper.
Prosper Texas is a family town located conveniently between Frisco and Celina Texas, and 10 miles northwest of McKinney near State Highway 289 . The little Town of Prosper, TX is steadily growing. In just a few years, the North Dallas suburb has grown from around 2,000 to 6,000 people.
More than 75% of the town's population in 2000 was married, the median age for residents was 32 and new growth in the region and increase in population brings more new home building in the $200,000 to $500,000 and up range. It is also called home to football legends Bill Bates, Randy White and Deion Sanders and country music singer, Leanne Rimes.
The Prosper Sports Association ensures that there are sports leagues for all ages. Children in Prosper attend the schools in the exemplary Prosper Independent School District. Prosper residents value the small-town atmosphere of their community, and enjoy being close to shopping, restaurants, nightlife, major attractions and sporting events in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Prosper is a great place to call home for those seeking country living without sacrificing the benefits of living near the big city.

PROSPER, TX SUNSET
